The Kinsmen Foundation is very pleased to be the recipient of this year’s Western Association of Broadcasters (WAB) “Broadcast Partner of the Year.”
The WAB is an industry organization that represents independent radio and television stations in Western Canada to foster and promote the development of the Art of Broadcasting. The Kinsmen Foundation was nominated by CTV Saskatchewan and the award presented at their annual conference in June.
The award is given to an organization that has made a significant contribution to the broadcast industry. In particular the WAB is choosing to recognize an organization that has partnered with broadcasters for humanitarian efforts in their community, demonstrated extraordinary leadership within their field and acted for broadcasters outside their normal scope of operations.
The Kinsmen Foundation humbly accepts this recognition. CTV Saskatchewan, both as a company and as a group of very fine people, is our broadcast partner for Telemiracle. We are fortunate to be able to raise millions of dollars every year to help those that require special needs equipment and access to medical assistance to improve quality of life and independence. We can only do that thanks to CTV. They provide the airtime, the volunteers to broadcast the show. Their friendship to the Kinsmen Foundation and to the people of Saskatchewan is outstanding. We cannot thank them enough!
