New Group Home Helped in Regina Print this Article

The Kinsmen Foundation is pleased to be able to participate in funding for a new group home officially opened for those with intellectual disabilities in Regina on June 3, 2010. The Kinsmen Foundation’s gift to Chip and Dale Housing of over $60,000 went to purchase a platform lift, ceiling track lift, hygiene chair and a hydrotherapy tub.

Other funding partners included the Government of Saskatchewan’s Ministry of Social Services and Saskatchewan Housing Corporation. Funding also came from the City of Regina and the Kinsmen Foundation.
Donna Harpauer, the Minister responsible for the Saskatchewan Housing Corporation, says this project is very positive for those with intellectual disabilities.  This project will make a difference in the lives of the people who will now have a safe, affordable, quality place to live that meets their needs,” Harpauer said.
