Telemiracle in the News

Telemiracle is in the News!

Every year as we approach Kinsmen Telemiracle, we a communities across the province interested in what's happening!  A lot of attention is focused on Telemiracle and fundraising activites leading up to the show.  But there are also stories out there about WHY we raise money on the hundred of people that have recieved special needs equipment or gained access to medical attention because of a gift recieved.

Melfort:  The community is proud of one of their own as Kevin Arcand joins the Telemiracle Cast.

Prince Albert:  Tha PA Kinsmen are at it again!  They produce the produce Mini-Miracle with Donny Parenteau on Monday, February 28th.  See what they say in the Feburary 18th edition of the Prince Albert Herald

Weyburn:  Telemiracle has been a common feature on local Weyburn radio featureing some of our volunteers, Dawn Lee the Telemiracle 35 Chair as well as Kinsmen Foundation Chair, Jake Porter.  Here's what they had to say:       Dawn Lee  and   Jake Porter 

In Moose Jaw, a mini-spiel was organized by the Moose Jaw Kinettes as a fundraiser for Telemiracle 35.  See the report in the Moose Jaw Times Herald.  

 The La Ronge Northern reports on Margaret Simpson's 50/50 for TeleMiracle where she is working to raise $50000 for TeleMiracle from across northern Saskatchewan to celebrate her 50th birthday.

In a recent lifestyles publication in Estevan, Telemiracle's continuing impact over 35 years is recognized.  The community is also proud that six year old Rebecca Duncan will be singing on Telemiracle 35!

 In promoting their Telemiracle fundraiser the Saskatoon Father-son made the Star-Pheonix

The Nipawin Journal was taking a look back in their community history.  In February 1984 forty dancers raised $4,049.26 in the Telemiracle marathon dance at L.P. Miller High School. Twenty-three dancers completed the full 24 hours. Rob Stolearcius and Susan Currie raised the most money, $593.80.  They also reported on the Telemiracle Mascot Challenge at the Hawks game.  All the mascots fundraised for a total over $500.
